5 trending nail colours for spring 2026
By Jess Watts | 24 March 2026 | News & Events
Pastel polishes are out of retirement, floral artwork is trending and the sun is beginning to shine… Spring has arrived! The season brings with it a unique colour palette, and in 2026, trending nail shades might not be what you expect…
According to colour authority, Pantone: “Colours for spring/summer 2026 continue the drumbeat for honesty, authenticity and desire to put our own unique stamp on what we wear. The balance of colours that boldly celebrate the joyfulness of dressing with trans-seasonal neutrals and calming minimalist tones create new looks free from constraint.”
Here are five top nail hues springing into the trend cycle this season…
Groovy Chick purple
Fuelled by a yearning for early 2000s nostalgia, purple – synonymous with iconic cartoon character, Groovy Chick, is set to rule this spring. The bold, retro hue was once emblazoned across bikes, stationery and bedding. Now, in 2026, it’s making its mark on nails.

Diet Coke brown
Diet Coke nail designs are the epitome of consumer-inspired nail art, with drink-themed digits fizzing to the top of TikTok ‘For You’ pages. This trend is largely characterised by dark brown cat eye effects that mimic the look of bubbling soda. When manipulated with a magnet, the shimmering cat eye particles form fizzy, carbonated fingertips that evoke the contents of an ice-cold can.

Raspberry pink
Somewhere between bright fuchsia and deep berry red sits a springtime staple: raspberry pink. The hue is versatile enough to span the seasons, but it really shines when the sun comes out. Whether worn as a standalone solid colour or incorporated into nail art, raspberry pink is the perfect combination of fun and class.

Butter yellow
A shade that rose in popularity in 2025, butter yellow bridges the gap between neutral and spring – offering the warmth of the season without the commitment of something bolder. The hue particularly dazzles when layered with a clear chrome, creating a ‘glazed butter’ effect that is guaranteed to turn heads.

Sage green
Dubbed ‘nature’s new neutral’, sage green is having a big moment this spring. Already the number one bridesmaid dress colour of 2026, according to multiple bridal websites, the herbal hue is categorised as a ‘true middle green’, meaning it sits in perfect balance between the yellow and blue tones it’s made from.
