WHAT I’M WEARING: Nicola Cooper

We want to see what you’re wearing on your nails!
Nicola Cooper has been sporting this striking ombre design! “I created these nails for a night out with friends,” Nicola explains. “When I was at my desk my mind drew a blank; this design was not what I’d intended to do, but I absolutely love it! Both my clients and I are loving the neon colours for summer!
“To create my look, I started with OPI GelColor base coat, followed by two coats of Alpine Snow. I then took a small nail art brush and dabbed MagpieBeauty pigments into the tacky layer. I used Izzy, Coral and Fleur, starting with the lightest colour. Using a fluffy brush, I blended the pigment colours together to create the ombre effect. Next I applied a layer of OPI GelColor topcoat, cured, removed the tacky layer and gently buffed the nail to prepare for the glitter.

“Using my Barbara II brush from Crystal Nails, I applied bands of OPI shade, Liv in the Gray and sprinkled Magpie Beauty glitter, Grace, on to the uncured grey polish. I then cured and dusted off the excess glitter and applied two layers of topcoat.”
