Entrants to this category demonstrate unrivalled skills using the gel polish system. Colour is perfectly applied and nails regularly feature detailed design elements, created using the gel polish medium. Techs entering this category embrace the gel polish system to create nail finishes that suit their clients' skin tones & personal styles.

What happens next? When entry closes on 15 March, all applications will be assessed. Five finalists in this category will be revealed on 6 April, and receive an email with details of a practical nail task. This must be completed live at the Scratch Stars judging day at Trafford & Stockport College (Stockport campus) on Monday 11 May. The scores from this will determine the winner, who will be announced at The Scratch Stars Party in London on 5 July.
