This category recognises nail pro that showcase exceptional control and capability with the gel nail system. They are adept in creating stunning enhancements using both sculpting and tip & overlay techniques. They have an eye for colour suitability and can create crisp French finishes using jar-based gel products with a separate brush. Note: this category NOT for gel polish techs.

What happens next? When entry closes on 15 March, all applications will be assessed. Five finalists in this category will be revealed on 6 April, and receive an email with details of a practical nail task. This must be completed live at the Scratch Stars judging day at Trafford & Stockport College (Stockport campus) on Monday 11 May. The scores from this will determine the winner, who will be announced at The Scratch Stars Party in London on 5 July.
