Entrants to this category are master techs who demonstrate exceptional technical, artistic and interpersonal skills. They are proficient in using a variety of nail systems to create complex, striking and imaginative nail styles. They display advanced techniques and are well-rounded in nail proficiency, business acumen and industry knowledge.

What happens next? When entry closes on 15 March, all applications will be assessed. Five finalists in this category will be revealed on 6 April, and receive an email with details of a practical nail task. This must be completed live at the Scratch Stars judging day at Trafford & Stockport College (Stockport campus) on Monday 11 May. The scores from this will determine the winner, who will be announced at The Scratch Stars Party in London on 5 July.
