This category recognises an individual, team or business that, over the past 12 months in particular (since 1 February 2025) has either:

• Achieved something amazing; from multiple competition wins to a huge social following, an incredible role/job in nails... etc.
• Overcome adversity to carve out an incredible career.
• Made an outstanding contribution to the UK or ROI nail industry/nail community.
• Launched an initiative that supports or revolutionises the nail industry/community.

The Shooting Star is driven and passionate about the professional nail industry and demonstrates incredible potential.

What happens next? When entry closes on 15 March, all applications will be assessed. Five finalists in this category will be revealed on 6 April and sent an email detailing next steps - which include submitting pictorial/text evidence. Judges will assess these and score against a number of criteria. Their scores will determine the winner, who will be announced at The Scratch Stars Party in London on 5 July.
