THE TASK
Immerse in astrology and create a five-nail design inspired by both the attributes of your zodiac sign, and its element.
Choose the shade from LECHAT's Cat Eye Gel Polish collection that represents your zodiac sign and feature it most prominently within your design. You are welcome to use the other shades from LECHAT's Cat Eye Gel Polish collection within your creation.
The five nails should be inventive, stylish and cohesive.
All nails must be a minimum of two inches long from the cuticle and must incorporate a) hand-painted art and b) at least one 3D element sculpted by you.
PRODUCT USE:
You have been sent the following items from LECHAT:
- 2x Perfect Match 3 in 1 acrylic powders (white and black)
- 12 shades of Cat Eye Gel Polish
- 2x gel paints with liner brushes (white and black)
Contestants can use alternative products (tips, clear acrylic powder or gel products) to create the structure of the design - however these products must not feature in the final video.
Only the 12x Cat Eye Gel Polish shades, the 2x gel paints and 2x acrylic powders provided by LECHAT should be used as the colours for the design, with the Cat Eye Gel Polish representing your zodiac sign used most prominently. No other colour products are permitted unless listed below.
You may also add to your design using the following materials - and only the below listed materials:
- Silver, gold or iridescent glitter or paint.
- Chrome powders (any colour).
- Clear 3D gel or acrylic powder.
- Gloss and matte top coat.
- Crystals and beads (any colour).
- Metallic charms.
DELIVERABLES:
- Up to 15 high-quality photos of your nail design on a WHITE background: a close-up of each nail and photos with all 5 nails in view. Submit from the top, side and front angles. Do not alter or retouch these photos.
- A reel-style video (up to 5-minutes long) showcasing how you used the provided LECHAT products to create the design, plus professional tips/advice. Showcase your hand-painting and the sculpting of the 3D element(s).
- Write-up: Share a written explanation (max 800 words) of the inspiration behind the design and reasons behind the elements/artwork.
DEADLINE:
Images, write-up and video must be submitted by 17.00 PST on March 14.
